Despite remote learning featuring once again for some schools in the UAE, the beginning of the new school term has begun with the successful adoption of a new working week across the country.

From January 1st, 2022, the official working week in all emirates within the UAE except Sharjah has moved from a five-day, Sunday to Thursday week, to a four and a half-day school week from Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays to allow staff and students to attend the Friday prayers.
